If you have a Blogger blog did you know you can use Google Analytics?
You’ll need a gmail account to get started. If you don’t have one signing up is easy at gmail sign up
Setting Up Google Analytics
Sign in to Google Analytics then click on ‘Add a Website Profile’ and enter the address of your Blogger blog.
On the next screen click on ‘New Tracking Code (ga.js)’ and copy the code provided.
Setting Up Your Blogger Blog
Now go to your blog and click on layout. Click on ‘add a Page Element’ and choose HTML/Javascript.
Paste the code you saved into the content box and save.
That’s it! Now you can track visitors to your blog.

I do use google analytics not only to track the visitors, but also to know the popular post in my blog. So that future improvement can be carried out.
Well For Blogger I suggest using Sitemeter like site.
Analytics do provide the stats great but the time is important in every task.
Does the tracking code at Google Analytics for blogs work the same way as for owned webpages? You just plug in the code, right? But where does it go on your blog? Do you have to do something special?

I just want to know what is the beneffit of knowing the number of visitors in my blog. Does that has to do with rankings?
