Have you ever scrolled down to the bottom of a loooong page then had to scroll back up again! Of course you have! With Back To Top you can easily jump back the top of the page. When I’m forced to use IE this is one addon I’m continuously reaching for!

UnPlug
UnPlug is an extension which lets you save video and audio which is embedded on a webpage - it’s a video download tool.
UnPlug scans web pages and tells you where media players are getting their data from, and displays it as a simple hyperlink: in most cases, you can then follow the simple download link to save the media file.
UnPlug works for lots of sites including youtube.com, ifilm.com, current.tv, revver.com, peekvid.com, video.google.com, mobuzztv.com and lots, lots more.

A random collection of some of my favorite addons (in no particular order!)
Greasemonkey
Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension that allows you to customize the way webpages look and function. Hundreds of scripts are already available for free. And if you’re the tinkerer sort, you can also write your own.
Greasemonkey will change the way a web page appears or functions by associating some javascript with the web page. Some scripts change the colours, get rid of ads, add functions to particular web pages.

LinkChecker
LinkChecker checks all the links on a web page. Valid links are highlighted in green, invalid links in red (customisable). Easy to use!
Now some addons to make blogging easier!
ScribeFire
ScribeFire is a full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog. You can drag and drop formatted text from pages you are browsing, take notes, and post to your blog.
I love scribefire and use it daily. You can set any number of blogs and easily write posts, assign them to categories and post without needing to visit the blog. There’s even an inbuilt FTP facility.

As most of my readers will know by now I love firefox and its enormous range of addons. I have to restrict myself from adding more as they undoubtedly can slow it down, but they are sooooo useful! There are too many to include in a single post so I’m starting a weekly look at the ones I have found most useful. There are many more out there that I haven’t even looked at yet! As I’m a web designer I’ll start with addons I use in this respect.
Web Developer
My no1 Firefox addon for web development. With Web Developer you can outline Divs, see block sizes, find element information, resize browser windows and much more. Absolutely essential for theme or style design!
Fire FTP
Along with transferring your files quickly and efficiently, FireFTP also includes more advanced features such as: directory comparison, syncing directories while navigating, SSL encryption, search/filtering, integrity checks, remote editing, drag & drop, file hashing, and much more!
Screen Grab
Screengrab saves entire webpages as images. It will save what you can see in the window, the entire page, just a selection, a particular frame… basically it saves webpages as images.
Great for making screenshots of your new theme of style!
