Domain Tools has some good tools to optimise your site, or to see details of your opposition’s sites! Plug in the URL and you’re given a page with all the usual Whois data plus some SEO information. I plugged in google.com and found the information below.

If you’re just starting a new website or optimising an existing one you need all the help you can get to get your keywords right! There are lots of paid-for keyword tools and programs but here are some FREE keyword tools that I’ve found particulary useful.
Gives no of searches monthly plus All-in-Anchor and ALL-in-text results and the number of Google search results
(they also have other free tools - e.g. Website Analysis Tool and Website Data Miner)
SEO Book Keyword Suggestion Tool
This tool links the search volumes to the related global search results.
SEO Book Google Keyword Suggestion Tool
Tool grabs the top queries from Google Suggest and also links through to SEO Book keyword suggestion tool.
Use the Google Keyword Tool to get new keyword ideas.

Instant Position has a set of free SEO tools including a Link Checker, HTTP Header Check, Ip to Host name and SEO Page Tester Tool. I found the SEO Page Tool very useful for checking keywords in a page.

I love Wiki’s! Here’s a way to promote your site and add some backlinks with Wikidweb

It’s a nice resource. You do need to register to add entries, due to some recent vandalism. Why is there always an idiot that wants to spoil other people’s work?

These are some of the best presented videos I’ve seen and full of interesting content. In the first video Andy shows you how to get ‘double listings’ in Google to increase your traffic. I’ve got double listings in the past (see below) but never knew why this had happened! Andy leads you through all the steps necessary to achieve this for every page on your site. You’ll probably need to watch this more than once to absorb all the information.
